After that big wildflower hike through lupine, penstemon and mule ears, it’s time to get on the lake for a favorite summer pastime. A full moon kayak tour.
Watching the moon rise over Freel Peak, bright blue skies transform into alpenglow then moonlight, there isn’t a more spectacular time to be on Lake Tahoe.
Join Kayak Tahoe for a two hour casual paddle on July 30.
Steve and his crew of Tahoe Keepers have been turning on locals and visitors to kayaking for more than 25 years. They also rent canoes and stand up paddle boards, and offer tours and lessons.
Full moon kayak tour departs from their Timber Cove location at approximately 7 p.m. and returns around 9 p.m. Give or take a few side trips by those who just want to drift in the moonlight a little bit longer.
For reservations and information, please call Kayak Tahoe in South Lake Tahoe at 530.544.2011.
