Are you a Tahoe Rim Trail Challenger looking for a guided experience as you complete your 6 challenge hikes?
If so, then join the Tahoe Rim Trail Association on challenge site #3! This challenge hike is moderate in difficulty with a total elevation of 1,000 feet.
You’ll meander through a beautiful meadow and make your way to one of Tahoe’s premier backcountry lakes, Round Lake. At the Trail Blazer turnaround point, you’ll be able to meet trail mascot, McLeod the Marmot, and get your picture taken with him while receiving your freebie from one of our Tahoe Rim Trail sponsors.
The TRTA encourages local residents as well as summer visitors to step up to the challenge and take on easy to moderate 2-13 mile sections of the 165 miles of the Tahoe Rim Trail. Participants who join will receive special web access to download select maps and hike descriptions which lead to special places along the Tahoe Rim Trail including: lush meadows, gushing waterfalls, rich historical sites, expansive vistas and diverse landscapes.
The Tahoe Rim Trail Challenge offers something for everyone at any level of outdoor experience. The program welcomes hikers, bikers, equestrians, individuals, families, teams, hiking groups and corporations who want to get outdoors and be active. The cost to join is $55 for individuals and $85 for families (includes 2 participants). Team rates are also available. Existing TRTA members and additional family members can enroll for only $20. Participants will receive special access to electronic maps and hike descriptions, online web features for tracking and sharing your challenge, a sporty tech T-shirt and a one-year TRTA membership.
