Galileo’s Dream was for everyone to own and/or look through one of his telescopes to see the wonders in the heavens that he saw.
Now, you can be part of the dream and celebrate the Galilean Telescope’s 400th anniversary with a star party at Sand Harbor State Park on December 12 and 13 provided by Space Science for Schools in Incline Village.
Galileo discovered craters on the Moon, the moons of Jupiter and the phase changes of Venus.
Throughout the year, Space Science for Schools (SS4S) will host telescope clinics and talk about Galileo’s contributions to Science. Pre-star party clinics will be held before all scheduled observing at Sand Harbor State Park. Sand Harbor’s broad horizon across the lake has maximum viewing of the Milky Way and other celestial objects.

$25 per family, includes clinic, star party and one Galileo scope and SS4S star kit! Students need to provide their own tripod.
Please reserve your space and telescope today. Call Space Science for Schools in Incline Village at (775) 720-6999.
