FREE Guided Hike along the Tahoe Rim Trail October 31

Posted on October 2, 2009

TRTJoin experienced volunteer guides and the Tahoe Rim Trail for its final FREE guided hike on Saturday, October 31, in South Shore.

What a way to end a great season of hiking.

Kingsbury Grade to Cold Creek Trail

Enjoy the TRT as it meanders gently uphill through mixed forest and across open slopes with stunning views of Carson Valley and Freel Peak on the way to Monument Pass. Eventually the trail connects with the Cold Creek Trail which meanders downhill along a gently rolling creek for 3 miles to your final destination. P

articipants must be able to hike 2 miles per hour and tolerate altitude as some sections of the trail are over 9,000 feet. The hike is 9.5 miles total over moderate terrain, with a car shuttle back to your starting trailhead. Children and dogs need to stay home for this one – space is limited!

Please sign up in advance, space is limited. For more information or to sign-up for a guided hike, call the TRTA office at (775) 298-0012 or email info@tahoerimtrail.org
