Throughout 2017, participants in TINS’ Tahoe Nature Chase will explore Lake Tahoe in search of designated nature-observation challenges that are assigned for each month throughout the year.
It is important to note that this Tahoe Institute for Natural Science event is not strictly a competition, but an opportunity for the entire community to learn about, appreciate, and experience the Tahoe region’s natural phenomena, from the waters of Lake Tahoe to the top of the highest mountain, and through the seasons
The event is free and open to anyone, though TINS members (memberships starting at $35/year) will enjoy additional perks during the Tahoe Nature Chase including private outings and prizes from our many sponsors.
The first Tahoe Nature Chase outing is free and open to all! On January 21, this short and scenic hike will take you through Tahoe Meadows and up Chickadee Ridge, composed of an open field, Lodgepole Pine forests, and scenic vistas of the Lake. Click here to learn more.
