Looking for an unique, eco-friendly work of art made in your own backyard?
How about 100% recycled note cards and tree-free art featuring faeries, indigenous folklore and healing traditions from around the globe.
Illustrator Kristen Schwartz with Faery Medicine makes her art pieces and note cards in her studio in South Lake Tahoe. Each piece is made to order to minimize waste.
Featured on her website are 100% recycled, chlorine-free note cards. Many feature Lake Tahoe icons like Cave Rock Woman, Lake Mermaid, and Lake Mother.
Kristen also offers tree-free art.
Limited Edition Silk Giclee Prints are printed on raw silk fabric that Kristen has specially prepared with two gesso-like coatings. These prints are then mounted on rich silk velvet to make them really stand out. They look like original pieces of art and are a fraction of the cost. Silk prints can also be hand-embellished by Kristen for an additional fee.
Wisdom Prints are printed on 100% recycled paper with specially written text next to the image you choose.
“When the wisdom of past generations ceases to exist, so too, shall we.” – Kristen Schwartz
You can see all of Kristen’s fantastical and culturally inspired art at the Faery Medicine Boutique.
