Sacred Healing Arts of Tibet in South Shore May 28-31

Eight Tibetan monks are coming to South Shore for a cultural exchange and to raise funds for a failing generator that supplies electricity to a house that shelters 600 monks and a shade roof for their school.

The Gaden Shartse Monastery is touring the U.S. to feature Tibetan Buddhist Monks of the Gelugpa order of Tibetan Buddhism. The monks bring a cultural exchange of Sacred Earth and Healing Arts of Tibet, including a cultural exchange of Music, Healing Empowerment and Dharma Teachings.

A $25 (or more) donation includes a fabulous Tibetan feast prepared by Jens Dressler and Chef Aaron Ma­tt, a viewing of Dalai Lama’s Renaissance Film, and a chance to mingle with the Gaden Shartse Monks.

Blessings of Tara, Buddha of activities, to create auspicious conditions and the actions of beings in their efforts to benefit themselves and others. 45 minutes of music and chants followed by Q & A.  All are welcome.  Suggested donation is $10 -$20.  Nobody will be turned away for lack of funds on any of the following events.

The Perfection of Patience the Antidote to Anger – Lecture followed by Q & A

Kangso is performed with longhorns, cymbals, bells, drums and oboe to fulfill one’s commitments as a heroic being engaged solely in the welfare of others.  Suggested donation:  $10 – $20


What is the Boddhichitta Mind - A Lecture on Altruism followed by Q & A

Boddhichitta – the altruistic intention to attain enlightenment for the well fare of others. Boddichitta is like showering flowers on all the good qualities of our mind and increases our love and compassion. Suggested donation: $10 – $20


Long Life and Healing Empowerment
Vajravidharan Healing Ritual followed by Q & A

A Buddha purification and healing ritual that removes negativity of body speech and mind and disperses negative forces and gives protection. Tibetan handicrafts will be  available for purchase with all proceeds going directly to the Gaden Shartse Monks. Suggested donation: $10 – $20.
