Cork and More Corned Beef SlidersWhat could be better than a glass of Ruhstaller and Corned Beef Sliders? How about benefiting the Sierra Avalanche Center and Heavenly Ski Patrol?

Get your tickets now for the “Pints For Paws Beer Tasting” fundraiser on Thursday March 21, 2013 at 7 PM at The Cork & More, our favorite gourmet and gift shop celebrating 35 years in business.

Join Jim and Kim Warlow of The Cork and More to support a few of their passions – skiing, delicious cuisine and beer!  Heck, they’ve been at it for 35 years, so they’re doing something right.  In fact, they have a loyal following of locals and visitors who have The Cork and More cook all of their meals. No lie.

You be the judge. Show up on Thursday, March 21st at 7PM to sample their Corned Beef Sliders and other traditional pub fare for only $15. All proceeds will benefit Sierra Avalanche Center in conjunction with Heavenly Ski Patrol.

Purchasing tickets in advance is highly recommended – limited availability, and you’ll also get 15% OFF all beer.

Sierra Avalanche Center

To help keep backcountry travelers informed about snow pack stability, the Sierra Avalanche Center (SAC) headquartered out of Truckee posts a daily advisory that covers the Central Sierra Nevada Mountains between Yuba Pass on the north and Sonora Pass on the south.

The advisory applies only to backcountry areas outside established ski area boundaries and describes general avalanche conditions. Local variations always occur. The information in the advisory is provided by the USDA Forest Service who is solely responsible for its content.

SAC is a non-profit organization run by volunteers who have spent lifetimes guiding, teaching and playing in the backcountry and know the inherent risks.
