Help Raise Money for the Children’s Memorial Tree

Childerns-memorial-2One of South Lake Tahoe’s most cherished monuments is in the midst of redesign to hold it as our coveted place for contemplation, a place where we can reflect innocence lost, a place where we can all connect in this loving community we call home.  What started as a simple memorial for three of our local children who lost their lives, now includes the names of 229 lost too young.

Sue Hrbacek and Kenny Curtzwiler are leading the charge to raise $12,000 for The Children’s Memorial Tree, located on Highway 50 in the heart of South Shore. The City of South Lake Tahoe and several community service groups and countless individuals are working together to keep this open space open.  Be one of the counted. Donate and read the effort in the Mountain News here.

We live in a special place. A place so beautiful it nurtures the soul and creative spirit. A place so breathtaking it inspires conservation. A mountain culture that masters the fine art of living. Welcome to this place we call home. Welcome to Lake Tahoe. Meet the local artists, individuals, businesses and events that define our unique mountain culture and embody Tahoe's creative and entrepreneurial spirit.
