Long-time local fitness guru Al Bitar has moved Inside/Out Fitness to The Trading Post Center in Tahoe City, and is now offering 24-hour access.
Bitar first began power lifting in 1984 and for many years competed successfully in many regional events. Well-regarded as one of the area’s more skillful personal trainers, Bitar emphasizes the basics of weight lifting, especially free weights, as a tool to improve symmetry and the Tahoe athletic lifestyle.
“The gym is a tool to improve whatever you do in your life, hence the name Inside/Out,” explains Al. “Both in-house trainer Sheri Schmidt and I are dedicated to our clientele. Our facilities are not very fancy, but instead a throwback to a traditional weightlifting club. There are no pressures, no attitudes, only friendship, healthy environment and a lot of iron.”
Located across from the Lighthouse Shopping Center behind the Sawtooth Café in downtown Tahoe City, Inside Out Fitness offers 2,000 square feet of free weights, weight lifting machines, stationary bikes, stair masters and aerobic equipment as well as personal training and 24-hour access.
“We’re very happy with our new location,” says Al Bitar, owner and operator since 1996 of Inside/ Out. “We offer all the same equipment and workout space as before within serene and beautiful surroundings. We’re now right in town near shopping and the sidewalks, yet our location is also right next to greenbelt, hiking trails and lots of sunshine.”
Inside/Out Fitness is located at 905 North Lake Boulevard, Suite 101, in downtown Tahoe City. Open seven days a week, the gym offers daily, weekly, monthly and 24-hour memberships. Visit Inside/Out for a free workout. For rates and more information call (530) 581-5541.
