Sustainability Film Festival at SNC Nov 7-9

The 2nd Annual Sustainability Film Festival is an innovative and exciting collaborative series of films designed to generate awareness, conversation, and debate around current issues in sustainability.

The free Festival takes place at Sierra Nevada College, November 7 through 9, 2013, starting with a screening of the film Chasing Ice.  A special afternoon of films appropriate for families and children ages 7-12 takes place at the Incline Village Public Library on Nov. 6, 4 – 5:30 p.m.

The Festival continues on Friday and Saturday with food and drink starting at 5:30 pm in Tahoe Center for Environmental Sciences (TCES) lobby on the campus of Sierra Nevada College. Presented by the library’s Sustainability Resource Center and Students Striving for Sustainability (S3), this year’s festival includes visionary documentaries that explore important issues of Social Justice, Food, Environment, Sustainability in Business.

The 2013 Festival lineup will feature Chasing Ice, the story of one man’s mission to change the tide of history by gathering undeniable evidence of climate change. Some of the featured films include The Garden, Bidder 70, and Pipe Dreams.
