windgod.GIF Did you know that air leakage can account for 30-50% of your heating bills?  Yikes!

Learn how you can prevent air leakage and other winterizing tips to save you money at the Winterizing Workshop in Truckee on December 6, 2009 presented by SIGBA.

With winter approaching, temperatures will be going down as heating bills pile up. Heating and cooling account for about 56% of energy use in a typical American home, making it the largest energy expense for most homes. Many heat-saving tricks can also save cooling costs in the summer. And they help the environment in addition to helping your wallet!

Don’t miss the Winterizing Workshop presented by Sierra Green Building Association (SIGBA) on Sunday, December 6th from 9:00am – 1:00pm at the McGeehee Residence in Olympic Heights in Truckee.

Most energy-saving tricks that will be presented are things you can do yourself and for less than $100. Witness a thermal imaging survey and a blower door test, both readily available tools through SiGBA’s new energy survey program.

To stop money from flowing out your windows, under your door, and through your electrical outlets, come to this workshop and learn how to winterize your home at minimal cost while getting maximum energy savings. All workshop attendees will receive an energy saving gift box to take home and start saving money and resources with right away.

Space is limited. Register online today and receive an additional $5 discount. Members – $35 ($30 early registration) and Non-Members – $50 ($45 early registration).
