Help Local Students attend Power Shift 09

SIGBA recently committed to education programming in green building and sustainability.

As its first initiative, SIGBA is seeking sponsorship of at least one local student leader to the Power Shift 09 Conference to be held February 27 to March 2 in Washington DC.

Since the conference is fast approaching, SIGBA is asking that you to donate a full sponsorship of $400. Even a smaller donation would help offset costs associated with attendance and project management upon the student s return.

Your donation will also send a message that you support education programs focused on green building and sustainability. These programs will hopefully train new workers, create local business, and educate people about issues in green building and sustainability in the Northern Sierra.

PLEASE MAKE YOUR DONATION TODAY AT http://www.sigba.org/education/donate/

Locals who attend the conference will participate in a wide range of workshops, return trained to re-present workshops and participate in community initiatives in green living, green building, sustainability and climate change.

SIGBA enthusiastically recognizes the opportunity for these students and the Tahoe community. These community leaders are eager to partner with SIGBA for a concerted localized response. Please donate today to make their ambition and passion benefit our community.

If you have questions about sponsorship, email me at arsenault@sigba.org.
