Hey Incline Village residents. It’s time to recycle your Christmas tree for free.

The Incline Village & Crystal Bay Christmas Tree Chipping Program is on now until February 4, 2010.

Residents are encouraged to drop off clean Christmas trees for recycling between December 24, 2009 and February 4, 2010. All decorations, lights and tinsel must be removed from the trees to be accepted for chipping. Wreathes, stumps, or other greenwaste cannot be accepted.

The drop off location is open 7 days a week, during regular business hours. It is located at Preston Field (Nevada Highway 28 at the junction of Nevada Highway 431) in Incline Village, Nevada.

The chipped trees will be used as mulch to improve water conservation and reduce soil erosion on landscaped areas at IVGID Park and Recreation facilities. For more information call (775) 832-1284.

For additional information please call Madonna Dunbar, Executive Director, Tahoe Water Supplier Association (TWSA), Resource Conservationist, Incline Village General Improvement District (IVGID), 1220 Sweetwater Road – Incline Village, Nevada 89451, 775-832-1212 direct / 775-354-5086 cell.
