Adopt a Beach Sept 1-5

Adopt a BeachRegular beach cleanup is one of the easiest ways to help our most valuable resource. Debris on the beaches and streets can easily find its way to the lake and adversely impact lake clarity, water quality, and native plants and wildlife. Public participation in beach cleanups is part of basin-wide environmental stewardship initiatives.

Help out September 1 through 5, 2014, 9 am – 12 pm at 4H Camp Beach, Tahoe Shores, Nevada Beach, and Round Hill Pines.  Thank you!

We all enjoy the traditional Tahoe South July 4 and Labor Day fireworks shows! However, with so many people having fun, it’s important we follow up with beach clean-up days.   Debris on the beaches and streets can easily find its way to the lake and adversely impact lake clarity, water quality, and native plants and wildlife.

How can you help?

  • Individuals and Groups: Participate in scheduled beach cleanups!
    •  September 1 – 5 at one of four available locations:
    • 4H Camp Beach, Tahoe Shores, Nevada Beach, and Round Hill Pines.
    • Cleanup hours are 9am -12 noon.
    • Volunteers should register with LTVA staff in advance to ensure we have enough supplies.
    • Businesses: Promote your services and products by sharing a special offer with our volunteers
    • Groups/Organizations: Adopt a Beach for the summer!
