Ladies! If you’ve always wanted to learn to sail, here’s your chance to learn from the best.
The Lake Tahoe Windjammers will hold a Women’s Sailing Clinic on July 24, 2010.
They often beat the guys.
No experience necessary. The Women’s Sailing Clinic is open to all levels. Master sailors Lynn Woodward and Diane Martin will make sure you are matched up with women with similar skills.
A portion of the proceeds will be donated to Breast Cancer Research in memory of LTWYC member Andrea Johnson.
Tahoe Windjammers Women’s Sailing Clinic
Saturday, July 24
8am – 6pm
- 8-8:30am – Registration, includes continental breakfast
- 8:30am – Classroom Instruction based upon sailing level and ability
- 12:30- Gourmet lunch (I told you they know what they are doing)
- 1:30 – 5:30pm – On-the-water Instruction after lunch (wear white soled shoes & bring a life jacket)
- 6pm – Aprés sailing
Here’s what you’ll learn based on your skill level:
- Beginners – Sailing fundamentals, basic techniques and knots
- Intermediate – Sail trim, helming, tacking, radio and overboard
- Advanced Intermediate – Sail trim and spinnaker handling
Space is limited to 20, so register soon. $65 WYC members; $75 non-members.
