Sailing on Lake Tahoe is one of our greatest indulgences.  The lake is considered sanctuary for many.  Sailors are a hardy bunch, and love to sail hard, and play hard, and they love to convert others to their artful pastime.

South Shore’s Tahoe Windjammers Yacht Club (TWYC), established in 1968, is holding a free intro to Sailboat Racing seminar on Saturday, May 19, 2012 following their swap meet at 2pm.

TWYC holds all kinds of sailboat races all summer long including the infamous Wednesday night beer can races.  But, you’d better get your gear ready first and learn how to sail.

Sailor’s Swap Meet – May 19, 11 am to 2pm

Head to the Tahoe Keys Marina to find sailboat parts & pieces, boat gear, sailing clothing & maybe even crew.  Bring your slightly used sailboat gear to sell or swap, or just bring cash and find deals on all kinds of boating treasures.

FREE Intro to Sailboat Racing Seminar – May 19, 2:30 – 5:30 pm

TWYC Clubhouse, Tahoe Keys Marina upstairs from Harbor Master’s Office.

You do not need to own a sailboat to be a member of the club or to attend this free seminar. To register, please email
