22-mile Tahoe Fall Classic Paddleboard Race Sept 18

It’s the finale. The big daddy of the entire stand up and paddle season at Lake Tahoe.  So you’ve been standing up and paddling all summer longer, just to get ready for this epic.

It’s the 22-mile Tahoe Fall Classic SUP race across Lake Tahoe from Camp Richardson in South Shore to Kings Beach in North Shore on September 18th starting at 8am sharp.

Be sure and Clean, Drain, and Dry your SUPs and gear too. Learn more.

It may actually be a race against the Lake Tahoe Marathon runners!

Truly, even if you’re not a stand up and paddler aficionado, you have to respect the athleticism required to go to this length literally to paddle ACROSS Lake Tahoe. That’s 22 miles.  Please note that PFDs are required!

Besides a great workout for your core, the camaraderie and beauty of our mountain sanctuary, you’ll get lunch and a commemorative race jersey. Woohoo!

ATTN Tahoe Keepers!

Before you launch your paddle board, kayak, canoe, raft, or any watercraft  into Lake Tahoe or the surrounding lakes, streams or rivers, you must check it for Zebra and Quagga mussels, as well as the nasty Eurasian watermilfoil to ensure you are not inadvertently transporting the weed to Fallen Leaf Lake, Echo Lake, Spooner Lake and streams and rivers It’s up to us to keep it that way.

Protect your favorite place. Protect your favorite pastime. Please take a few minutes to clean, drain and dry your boat and gear before and after you launch it. Learn how at the www.TahoeKeepers.org.
