“Six Million Steps: An Inward Journey on the Pacific Crest Trail” is a documentary film that chronicles the lives of hikers during their adventure along 2,650 miles of the Pacific Crest Trail. Each year, 300-400 “thru-hikers” attempt to hike border to border, and, in doing so, experience pain, hunger, elation, loneliness, regret and fear.
Join your fellow mountaineers at Lake of the Sky Outfitters in South Lake Tahoe on October 25th at 7pm to watch the film, along with refreshments, and a free raffle.
The thru-hikers leave behind their everyday lives, their families, their homes, their jobs and their friends to sleep outside with only the items they carry on their backs. But in leaving, they arrive at something greater, life stripped to its core; life as a journey in the truest sense of the word; and life as transformation.
Most take on a trail name that matches their journey like Stumbling Norweigen, Wild Child, Dash, Drifter, Basil, Shutterbug, ABear and Hemlock.
Lake of the Sky Outfitters is located at 1023 Emerald Bay Road in South Lake Tahoe. Please call to reserve your seat at (530) 541-1027.

From Mexico to Canada, the Pacific Crest Trail winds through three states, seven national parks, 25 national forests, and elevations ranging from sea level to nearly 14,000 feet.
