The United Sidecar Association 2009 National Rally is coming to town June 25-28. Stationed at Camp Richardson, hundreds of sidecars are expected to take to the streets for 4 days of guided tours to our hot spots.
And, be sure to check out the world’s fastest sidecar – that’s 187 mph – on Saturday, June 27 at the airport.
While the sidecar attendees have plenty of activities planned, the public is invited to the Show ‘N Shine and Sidecar Games to be held Saturday, June 27th at the South Lake Tahoe airport. Starting at 9:30 am there will be a parade of sidecars from Camp Rich to the airport.
The Bob Bakker – Warren Ryan racing sidecar will be on display at the airport.
This sidecar set a Bonneville record and holds 4 land-speed record for sidecar rigs, with a top speed of 187 MPH! It was purpose-built for racing at the Bonneville Salt Flats.
