Author, Helen Simonson, writer of the New York Times Bestseller, Major Pettigrew’s Last Stand, will meet with the Friends of the Library Book Club on Wednesday, February 20th at 3 PM via Skype.

Ms. Simonson’s book has been highly reviewed, “In the noisy world of today it is a delight to find a novel that dares to assert itself quietly with the lovely rhythm of Helen Simonson’s funny, comforting and intelligent debut…”

Join the Friends of the Library in person for tea and lively discussion of this interesting book with its interesting author. This South Lake Tahoe cultural event is free and open to the public inside the South Lake Tahoe Library’s Meeting Room 1000 Rufus Allen Blvd.

Short and sweet.

We live in a special place. A place so beautiful it nurtures the soul and creative spirit. A place so breathtaking it inspires conservation. A mountain culture that masters the fine art of living. Welcome to this place we call home. Welcome to Lake Tahoe. Meet the local artists, individuals, businesses and events that define our unique mountain culture and embody Tahoe's creative and entrepreneurial spirit.
