Mountain men and women will celebrate the shared joy and independence of motorcycle riding during the first annual Lake Tahoe Adventure Motorcycle Rendezvous August 23-26, 2012.
All makes of bikes and riders are invited to present themselves in South Lake Tahoe for off road and pavement rides, evening social events, entertainment, guest speakers, and food and libations.
Designed by a few local South Shore riders, the Lake Tahoe Adventure Motorcycle Ride & Rendezvous evokes the western spirit of historic adventures that gather brethren in an amazing mountain environment. The history of riding will be captured by the Guest of Honor and legendary Hall of Fame motorcycle rider, Dick Mann, on Saturday August 25, at 6 p.m. at MontBleu. Mann started his racing career in the mid-1950s and has been part of the motorcycle scene ever since. His numerous awards and championships were capped with Dick’s induction into the AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame in 1998.
Riding includes both off road and pavement options over major Sierra Nevada passes, as well as extensive high desert riding throughout Nevada. After riding, head to base camp at Mont Bleu Casino Hotel to socialize with other riders during the opening night welcome cocktail party, or on the beach at the BBQ to toast a good day of riding and modern-day frontier life.
The event host hotel and base camp for all the activities is Mont Bleu Casino Hotel. Additional lodging including campgrounds through hotel and rental properties is also available. More information is available at www.tahoeadventuremoto.com including a schedule and registration information.
