The annual Meyers Summer Solstice Celebrationwill take place Sunday, June 23rd from 2-6 p.m. Face painting, local culture and music will set the stage.
This family-centered event is designed to bring together the healing, artistic, and recreational cultures of Lake Tahoe in a community street fair that highlights the Washoe ancestral land that is centered on the “sacred giver of life,” Da ow a ga (Lake Tahoe).
Lake Tahoe has drawn many from the healing arts to practice in and around its sacred waters. Practitioners here truly embrace the innate healing power of the body. They are gentle, honoring, and committed to your highest potential. Embracing this knowledge truly makes their work unique, powerful, and transformational. The Lake has also attracted artists, painters, sculptors, and writers who are inspired to capture its natural beauty in their individual creations. The outdoor playground attracts people from all over the globe to play in the fertile valleys, high deserts, alpine meadows, and snow-covered mountains.
The celebration is free and open to the public.
There is no better place to celebrate the Summer Solstice than our wilderness and recreational mecca, and we hope you will join us.
This family-friendly event will include:
Booths featuring Local Artists and Healers
Local Food and BBQ
Family Recreation Area
