Patrouch & Ault

Valhalla Grand Hall at the Tallac Historic Site, South Shore

Tuesday, July 1 @ 7:30 pm

$10 adults, $5 kids

Part of the Valhalla Arts, Music & Theatre Festival Locals Night series

Justin Patrouch is a student at Lake Tahoe Community College, with an emphasis in Music Harmony and Jazz Harmony. Having studied under Anna Helwing, he plays a range of music from Bach and Burgmüller to Vince Guaraldi and Isaac Albéniz. This will be Justin’s first public performance featuring his original compositions.

Matthew Ault knows one thing for sure. Piano is his life. Born and raised in the South Shore, Matthew learned to first play the keys at 7 years old, picking out tunes on his baby sister’s 10 key toy piano. Since then his fingers never rested. Matthew just recently returned from a nearly year and a half stint in Los Angeles, CA playing with the band East of Fairfax. Playing shows in Hollywood with a group of amazingly talented and experienced musicians only helped Matthew to grow as both a musician and a songwriter. Matthew is proud to be back in Tahoe and to be performing again with his own solo project. His music and vocal styling is reminiscent of artists such as Rufus Wainwright, Radiohead, and even Billy Joel, while at the same time maintaining a fresh approach to being a solely piano and vocal oriented sound.

The Locals Night Series is designed to bring out the local spirit, by providing a venue for local performers and providing a quality performance that locals can afford to bring their families out to.
