You won’t believe your eyes. Hoopers on stilts. Fire Dancer hoopers. Skater Hoopers. Hoopers on bikes. And parents teaching their kids how to hoop.
Even visitors have jumped in to enjoy the pure joy of hooping on the beach with Lake Tahoe splashing in the background.

It’s all about having fun. And you can get fit too. Just bring a hoop. If you don’t have one, Saundra has custom hand-crafted hula hoops for just $30.

Here’s how this South Lake Tahoe event got started, according to the Happy Hula Hooper:
Tahoe Hula Hoops started as a grass roots movement, it was created one cold dreary February day in 2008. Oh, wouldn’t it be nice to have a huge group of people hooping on Regan Beach with big fat smiles on their faces. Hooping it up, down, around, or Whatever!….Watching the Lake Tahoe sunset while moving their bodies to some cool music, talking, interacting with their friends, family and meeting new folks. A Hooping Community. Hoopville was conceived. The people would exercise their core, banging out a move they didn’t think they could do. Happiness would be created instinctly. Busting a move, what new trick can you do this week? Hoopville, the village, is growing. People coming from afar. The word is out. It’s contagious. It’s about more than movement, it’s about Fun, PlayFullness, Silliness. Yes you can, it’s for all ages. Play Today. Do one thing to make you happy. Put a Smile on your face.
