Freeskiing World Tour at Kirkwood April 4-8

Don’t miss what has arguably become one of the biggest events of the year to take place at Kirkwood.  Entering its 15th season at Kirkwood, the North American Freeskiing World Tour brings some of the nation’s best big mountain skiers to take on the permanently closed terrain of The Cirque which is open only twice each year for this event and its counterpart The North Face Masters.

Kirkwood skier Josh “Baby J” Daiek will compete at his home mountain, and host his fellow skiers April 4th – 8th.

Currently Baby is tetering at #2, so come on out and cheer him on.  Go Big Baby J!

To catch all the action, grab a front row seat in the Devil’s Corral, directly below The Cirque – one of the only venues in the world allowing spectators a full top to bottom view of the competition course.

Look for the BBQ at the venue while you’re hanging out – staffers from the Outback Grill will be serving up burgers, hot dogs, chicken sandwiches, veggie burgers, and more.

The best of the best compete for the title of North American Freeskiing Champion at this exciting South Lake Tahoe event.  Come on out & support your local skiers and our Kirkwood Freeride Team and check out the talent from across the country and the world.

Pedestrian access to the venue will not be permitted – access via snowcat or chair lift is required.

Check out the tour standings here.  Currently Josh Daiek from Kirkwood is in first place!!!  And our very own Squaw girls, Ingrid Backstrom and Jaclyn Paaso, are hitting high marks.
