Create art for books, cards or any medium at Bona Fide Books in Meyers. Books in this photo were made by Karen Cutter. Because Bona Fide loves all things books, they’ve started a Sunday afternoon club for lovers of book art.
Bona Fide events feature community, peculiarities and a wholesome good time.
Bona Fide Book Arts Club, 3-5 pm, Second and Fourth Sundays
Head to Bona Fide HQ on the second and fourth Sundays from 3-5 pm for book arts and book-inspired projects. Bring your own unusual material–a game board, six-pack container, or cereal box, for starters–and make a book! Join fellow book artists for an afternoon of book making.
Join the ink geeks at Bona Fide for an evening of printmaking. We provide the presses, just bring your creativity. $10 for supplies or bring your own.
Bona Fide Books, a small indie press in South Lake Tahoe, aims to promote bold, unsung writers and connect them with readers. In an alleged age of declining readership, Bona Fide wants to give everyone a reason to read. Owner and publisher Kim Wyatt created Bona Fide Books to revitalize our passion for reading and to build a sense of community. In addition to an online community, Bona Fide also has a bricks and mortar office, the Center for Wayward Writers, located in South Lake Tahoe.
Bona Fide HQ is located at 1069 Magua Street, #4, behind the Getaway Café in Meyers. For more information, go to www.bonafidebooks.com or call 530-573-1513.
