There is only one Patsy Cline.
And then, there is definitely crooner Joni Morris, who loves Cline’s music and has made a career of bringing Patsy’s hits back to life with her engaging double-barreled voice that can belt, sob, and exult Patsy’s hit songs of over 40 years ago.
Don’t miss Patsy…I mean Joni Morris and her After Midnight Band perform “A Tribute to Patsy Cline,” at the acoustically perfect Valhalla Boathouse Theatre on July 30 at 7:30pm.
Dressed in costumes ranging from buckskins and tassels to glittering, sequined gowns, Joni Morris invites her audience to, as Patsy Cline used to say, “Just let your hair down and let’s see what you look like!”
You don’t have to know much about Patsy Cline or her career to enjoy A Tribute to Patsy Cline. All you need is a taste for good music and fine entertainment. Whether you’re too young to remember Patsy Cline or too shy to admit that you do, Joni Morris’ rousing performances of such memory-making songs as “Your Cheatin’ Heart,” “Crazy,” “Walkin’ After Midnight,” and “Back in Baby’s Arms,” will make this extraordinary A Tribute to Patsy Cline an afternoon to remember for a long time to come. Morris transfixes audiences, transporting us back into the Golden Years of the late 50’s and early 60’s with such hit songs as “Sweet Dreams,” “She’s Got You,” “Tennessee Waltz,” and “I Fall to Pieces.”
