Toy RunThe 23rd annual Tahoe Toy Run will be rolling through South Lake Tahoe on Saturday, October 5, 2013.

The South Lake Tahoe event is a major fundraiser for Christmas Cheer, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing food to needy families and Christmas toys to underprivileged children in the community.

This event, spearheaded by a group of local motorcycle enthusiasts, is one of the largest fund raisers for Christmas Cheer in South Lake Tahoe. Christmas Cheer is a non-profit organization, dedicated to providing food to needy family’s year around, and Christmas toys to underprivileged children in our community. With record numbers of people in need in our community, we would appreciate any and all donations for prizes to be raffled at our Toy Run.  With the holidays just around the corner, and when the need is the greatest, we plan to assist Christmas Cheer in their mission. Your support is crucial in making this event a successful fundraiser.

All proceeds collected from the Toy Run, including donations, proceeds from a large raffle and auction, barbeque, and T-shirt sales are directly donated. Local musicians, businesses, Horizon Casino, Liberty Energy, and many volunteers also donate their time to and resources to this worthwhile cause. The Toy Run will be held Saturday, October 5,2013, in South Lake Tahoe, leaving Horizon Casino at noon riding down Highway 50 to the Brother’s Bar & Grill. Everyone is welcome to join us for a day of fun, live music, raffles, and food. If you would like to donate money, a little goes a long way.

Please make all checks payable to Christmas Cheer. Donations can be sent to Mary Luckel, P.O. Box 10403, Zephyr Cove, NV 89448.

Supporters don’t need a motorcycle to attend — everyone is welcome. Admission is free, but a donation of a new, unwrapped toy or item suitable for a teenager will be accepted.

For more information, call Toy Run coordinator Mary Luckel at (530) 416-4166. Christmas Cheer is open all year and can be reached at (530) 542-4934.
