They are all winners. And incredible athletes.
Celebrity Winterfest®, a weekend-long high profile Special Olympics fundraiser event, will be held at Incline Village on March 4-6, 2011.
A highlight of this North Lake Tahoe event is the Polar Plungefest on March 6, 2011.
Proceeds from the event will provide much-needed funding for more than 17,000 developmentally disabled athletes across Nevada and Northern California who rely on donations to receive free sports training and competition throughout the year.
Starting March 4th, 2011 several high profile companies and organizations will enjoy an event-packed weekend that will provide a unique opportunity and setting for company team building, client development, and fun head-to-head competition on the slopes of Diamond Peak. This event helps raise critical funds for more than 17,000 athletes in Northern California and Nevada who receive free sports and competition opportunities throughout the year.
For the second year in a row, Polar Plungefest will take place on Sunday morning, March 6, 2011. Introduced last year, brave souls with warm hearts will once again take the plunge in the chilly waters of Lake Tahoe to raise additional funds for Special Olympics Northern California and Nevada! The Polar Plungefest is NOT a swim! It’s a party! Dress up in a crazy costume, dip your big toe or your whole body and then off to the post plunge party in the beautiful Lakeside Ballroom at the Hyatt Regency Incline Village. Polar Plungefest is open to the general public.
