The Sierra Nevada Classical Guitar Society will feature Antoniy Kakamakov, one of the best young pure classical guitar performers, during its 2011 Holiday Concerts, December 2nd through 4th.
Antoniy Kakamakov is a graduate of San Francisco Conservatory of Music and is First Prize Winner of the prestigious Wesley Day and Sierra Nevada Classical Guitar Competitions. He’ll be joining Larry and other guitar masters and vocalist Anna Helwing. Sierra Nevada Guitar Society is the premier organization presenting Classical Guitar concerts, Festivals and Educational Events in Northern Nevada and Lake Tahoe.
Get in the mood with a variety of classical guitar solos and ensemble music with guest vocal artist Anna Helwing from South Lake Tahoe (originally from Poland), Chris Hague from San Francisco Conservatory, acclaimed young virtuoso Antoniy Kakamakov, originally from Bulgaria, and Larry Aynesmith, Nevada Artist Fellowship honoree for music performance.

Larry Aynesmith is founder of the Sierra Nevada Classical Guitar Society, and holds an M.M. from Butler University, and is a Nevada Artist Fellowship honoree. Larry’s compositions have been performed in concerts by leading Classical Guitarists and he is currently working on an orchestral work. His latest composition is scheduled be distributed by a major music publisher. He also teaches select students Classical Guitar. Larry is a winner of the 2008-2009 Nevada Artist Fellowship Honorable Mention Award. He has appeared on ABC Television, National Public Radio, with the Northwest Indiana Symphony, the Carson City Symphony, Carson City Chamber Singers and others in symphony performances and concertos. He also performs extensively as a solo artist and in ensembles with others primarily in the North Lake Tahoe and Florida regions. His primary instrument is Classical Guitar and he also performs on Cello and other instruments.
