You’ll be constantly entertained here.

If not by the huge collection of rare books and great coffee, then by the events and ragchew.

Truckee Book & Bean is owned by long time Truckee residents Lou Raso, Joe Raso, and Meredith Watson. It is located in a historic building called the “The Nevada Saloon” built circa 1899. The building was renovated in 2003, and was the home of Truckee Books for 15 years. The new owners inherited 15,000 used books from the old bookstore, sorted through them all and re-opened as Truckee Book & Bean in March of 2006.

Here is the winter schedule of events

  • Sundays – Chess Night @ 4pm-8pm
  • Thursdays – Knitting at 4pm-8pm
  • Fridays – Amateur Radio Ragchew @ 8am-10am
    Local radio hams get together.
