Meet our local heroes – Rasco, Tucker, Boon, Wylee, Smoke, Lily, Ellie Mae, Boomer and Murphy, shown here with his handler Eric, on Thursday, March 7, 2013 at the North Lake Tahoe Visitor Center from 5pm to 7pm.
Learn about avalanche awareness, and how the Squaw Valley Rescue Dogs save lives while you enjoy a brew from Mellow Fellow, and get your photo taken with your favorite dog by Donna Read from “A Day in Your Life” photography with a portion of the photo sales going to the Search and Rescue foundation. I’ll drink to that and new snow, woof!

Find out more about the important role patrol dogs play in mountain safety and Tahoe ski culture. The Squaw Dogs provide a service not only to the Squaw Valley skiing and riding community, but to the greater Lake Tahoe community as well. All of the Squaw Dog teams are also members of the Placer County Sheriff Search & Rescue Team.
