Meet our local heroes on March 24, 2016 from 5:30pm to 7:30pm for a fundraiser at North Tahoe Visitor Center.
Learn about avalanche awareness, and how the Squaw Valley Rescue Dogs save lives. Bring your camera and take a photo with the dogs and donate $5 to help fund Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows Avalance Search and Rescue dogs. Show your support for these amazing pups!
Bring the kids to this free event for an unforgettable night.
Find out more about the important role patrol dogs play in mountain safety and Tahoe ski culture. The Squaw Dogs provide a service not only to the Squaw Valley skiing and riding community, but to the greater Lake Tahoe community as well. All of the Squaw Dog teams are also members of the Placer County Sheriff Search & Rescue Team.
At the event you’ll have a chance to make donations to help raise money for the non profit Squaw Valley avalanche rescue dog and education fund. Learn more about the dogs now, or make a donation online at www.squawdogs.com.
Photographer Keoki Flagg of Gallery Keoki has been capturing the heart of sale of our favorite canines for years.
Keoki has shot for an international roster of ski and adventure publications including Warren Miller, National Geographic Adventure, Men’s Journal, Outside, Audubon, Ski and Skiing and many others. His love of Lake Tahoe and his home mountain, Squaw, has inspired him to include a permanent collection of photos of Squaw patrol dogs that compliment his extensive portfolio.
