He’s more than good looking, more than big mountain slayer, more than a pro. He’s one of us; one of our Tahoe elite athletes who’s always bringing it home.
Don’t miss Squaw Valley ski legend J.T. Holmes at the PlumpJack Squaw Valley Inn on Saturday, July 7 at 7:00 p.m. when he shows never before seen footage from recent adventures, and discusses how he’s carved out a career skiing, base-jumping and speed flying. It’s all part of the SVI speaker series called “Adventurers in Sport and Spirit.”
Holmes, who has been profiled on the CBS program 60 Minutes, and has jumped off a skyscraper in Chicago during a scene in Transformers III: Dark of the Moon, will also give advice for those with little daredevils in the making.
Go Pro, makers of wearable, waterproof video cameras, is the official sponsor of the event. A Go Pro camera will be given away during a raffle. Following the presentation, a question and answer session with Holmes will take place.
A no-host reception begins at 6:30 PM at this Squaw Valley Institute event. Tickets are $10 for members and children under 18; tickets are $15 for general public. Members of the new Squaw Valley Institute/KidZone Museum Membership receive free admission to the event. For more information, visit www.squawvalleyinstitute.org, or call 530.581.4138.
