Tahoe Rim Trail Equine Trail TalkStretching your body before or after a hike or ride is important. It’s equally important for your horse as well.

Join the Tahoe Rim Trail on Wednesday, May 27, from 5pm-7pm at Galena Creek Equestrian Parking (near Jones Creek Trailhead) at the Galena Creek Visitor Center for a hands-on seminar and learn how to properly stretch your horse before & after your trail ride or workout.   Sorry, no horses allowed…

Veterinarian, Dr. Lafoon of Large Animal Veterinary Services will demonstrate how to help your equine become more agile and help prevent injuries. Regular stretching will help increase the flexibility and range of motion in your horse’s neck and back.

The Galena Creek Visitor Center will be open for visitors to stop by both before and after the seminar for guests to peruse and enjoy some coffee & tea.

This hands-on seminar is free and open to the public. Space is limited to the first 30 registrants. Please Note: Stock will be provided for demonstration and practice. Please register in advance for this event. For more information contact Shannon Skarritt, Director of Membership & Outreach, shannons@tahoerimtrail.org or 775-298-4490.

Trail Talks are free and open to the public and occur on a monthly basis.
