All paws and hands are invited to the Tahoe Unleashed Dog Park groundbreaking ceremony at the North Tahoe Regional Park on Sept. 7, 2014 at 1 p.m. Get there early and enjoy Park’s festivities beginning at 11 a.m.
Dog Day in the Park is a dog-themed carnival with vendors, carnival booths, demonstrations, pet adoptions, BBQ, live music, and more. In addition, rabies vaccines and micro-chipping services will be offered at minimal cost. Funds raised at this event support the needs of all pets in our community.
The leash cutting ceremony will begin at 1:00p.

The North Tahoe Public Utility District does not have funding available to build a dog park, so various fundraisers orchestrated by Dog Day in the Park will provide the monies needed for materials such as fencing, comfort stations, park benches, drinking fountains, and more. Community volunteers organized by Dog Day in the Park will provide the labor and assist with ongoing maintenance.
Many dog owners appreciate a designated safe space for our four-legged friends to frolic. The park will be a bonus for our community as well as visitors traveling with their pets who aren’t as familiar with our wide open spaces.
