Community Tree Lighting and Annual Gala at Sierra Nevada College Dec 1-3

To say thank you to the Lake Tahoe community, the Sierra Nevada College is holding a free Community Tree Lighting on Thursday, December 1, with Santa, carolers, cookies and the debut of the college’s new mascot.
To raise money for the SNC Academic and Scholarship Programs, the Annual Gala will take place December 3rd.
Sierra Nevada College will also be collecting new unwrapped gifts for Toys for Tots through the end of December in Patterson Hall.
SNC’s Annual Community Tree Lighting
Thursday, December 1st at 4pm-6pm
Designers of this year’s event have worked their magic to create an illuminated LED forest of twinkle lights on the patio of Patterson Hall.
Families will enjoy festive activities such as holiday crafts, cookie decorating, carols and music, refreshments and a photo opportunity with Santa Claus. An international tree display, gingerbread house competition, and pottery sale—combined with the historical debut of the college’s new eagle mascot—make this a mesmerizing storybook event. All activities on this night are free and open to the public.
Sierra Nevada College Holiday Gala
Saturday, December 3rd, 6pm at the Hyatt Regency Incline Village, Nevada
Gala guests will mix and mingle among exceptional company and partake in delicious fare during a seated dinner. The spotlight will shine on acclaimed violinist Daniel Heifetz, founder of the Heifetz International Music Institute, as he presents an exclusive opportunity for attendees to hear him and two virtuoso students perform. A luxury live auction and exciting DJ-dance after party round out the glamorous event.
