5th Annual Messiah and Other Holiday Music by TOCCATA December 18 & 20

It’s become a Lake Tahoe holiday tradition.
The Orchestra and Community Choral Artists of the Tahoe Area, aka TOCCATA, will perform the 5th Annual Messiah production featuring selections from Handel’s Messiah and other holiday favorites December 18 and 20, 2009.
The TOCCATA Chamber Orchestra and Chorus features many talented locals including soloists Tammy Brock, Joy Strotz and Anna Helwing, sopranos; Marianne Ashley and Susan Benefield, mezzo sopranos; Andy Sonnemaker and John Hutto, tenors; and Stuart Duke, baritone.
Don’t miss this masterful production in South Lake Tahoe and North Lake Tahoe at the following venues:
Friday, Dec. 18 at 7:30 pm – St. Theresa’s Catholic Church – South Lake Tahoe
Sunday, Dec. 20 at 3:00 pm – The Resort at Squaw Creek – Squaw Valley
Tickets, available at the door, are $20 adults, $15 seniors (62 and older), $5 students 25 and under with valid ID, children under 12 are free with a paid adult. Preferred seating is also available for $35 by calling 775-313-9697.
TOCCATA-The Orchestra and Community Choral Artists of the Tahoe Area – was founded in 2005 by James and Nancy Rawie as a 501-C-3 non-profit musical arts organization based at Lake Tahoe, Nevada. TOCCATA presents concerts of “classical” symphonic and choral masterpieces, and provides performance opportunities for young artists and local musicians and singers to participate in a high quality musical experience. TOCCATA is also developing plans to present educational concerts in local schools.
