Hey kids – learn how to ride and take care of these gentle and gorgeous horses.
This fall, Piping Rock Equestrian Center has a trail riding special and an after school program.
The fall trail riding pass, featuring eight rides, can be shared with family, friends and can be used for private group rides and scheduled group rides. The youth after school program is available Monday through Thursday from 3:30-5 p.m., 5-6:30 p.m. and features eight group lessons per month.
For eight lessons at $225 per month, youth aged 8-13 can enjoy an after school program that helps develop a comprehensive understanding of horses through an array of mounted and un-mounted activities. For the duration of the program, each student will be assigned their own horse and tack and will get to participate in all aspects of riding, including the groom and care of their horse. Monday through Wednesday, intermediate lessons will meet from 3:30-5 p.m. and advanced from 5-6:30 p.m. On Thursday, Western lessons will meet from 3:30-5 p.m., and a trail ride will be led from 5-6:30p.m. Lessons will be divided into no more than five riders per group. There are also Thursday afternoon group lessons available for children aged 6-8 from 3:45-5 pm. One day a week program is available at $225 for two months.
