From complimentary face painting to the ever-popular bounce house, Downtown Truckee Thursdays offers plenty of fun options for the energetic young ones every Thursday from 5pm to 9pm.
Children are encouraged to stop by The Treehouse or the KidZone Museum booth and realize their inner beast – think bear, dog or tiger – with face painting. And when those lovable bundles of energy can’t contain themselves any longer, visit the Jump 4 Joy Bounce House. Additionally, young artists will enjoy creating their own ceramic masterpieces at T Pots Pottery booth.
In the coming weeks, The Treehouse will also provide pint-sized entertainment when Oscar Clown visits Truckee Thursdays. Also, the children’s store sponsors a weekly guessing game; the correct guesser earns a $20 Treehouse gift certificate.
Fortunately, this year families can navigate the Truckee Thursdays more safely, as the downtown thoroughfare will be closed to traffic during the evening festivities.
Downtown Truckee Thursdays 2010 continues through August 19 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. In addition to children’s activities, Truckee Thursdays also offers live music, art, the Foothills Farmers Market, a beer garden and vendors of all kinds.
