Local artist and watercolor instructor Jan Foss will be offering a Spring Flower Painting Class on Mondays, April 23rd, 30th & May 7th from 6:00 to 9:00 pm.

Spring flowers will be blooming soon, so get out your watercolors and be prepared to paint, says Jan.

In this 3-night watercolor class, students will learn to paint a different flower each week, while learning a variety of watercolor techniques.

Week 1 you will paint the rare blue poppy in the wet-in-wet style with lots of negative painting and soft edges. Week 2you will paint lilacs using salf to create texture. Week 3 you will design a border around some colorful pansies and incorporate the use of watercolor pencils.

This class is perfect for beginner and experienced painters.

The workshops will be held at Jan’s studio:
