Showing Sept. 11-Oct. 7, 2013 you’ll find Howard Friedman, Landscapes of the West in the Main Gallery and the annual Group Show of Local Plein Air Artists at North Tahoe Art Center in Tahoe City.
Friedman’s Plein Air landscapes are created with a palette knife, applying many layers, expressing his love of color. In this manner his landscapes have a deep texture, rich color and a three-dimensional appearance.
Artwork by local Plein Air artists will be on display at the North Tahoe Arts Corison Loft Gallery. Accomplished artists, Reif Erickson, Abby Meyer, Monika Piper Johnson and Pat Edwards will be showing new landscapes in oils, pastels and watercolors.
Meet Friedman and the local Plein Air artists during the opening’ reception at North Tahoe Arts on Saturday, September 14, from 5-7 p.m. Refreshments will be served and all are welcome.
