Vista Gallery is pleased to announce the opening of an exclusive art exhibit by Donald Britton of Incline Village on Saturday, August 14, from 3pm to 5pm.
A free wine tasting with appetizers crafted by local chefs begins at 3pm. Cheers!
Don’s oil paintings depict landscape scenes from the Northern Rockies to the Pacific Coast To the Sierra Mountains. Don was selected to show by Vista Gallery for his excellent skill in capturing the essence of mountain scenery and illustrating what we have come to love about the mountain life style.
The pieces selected for showing would make an excellent centerpiece to any home. Donald’s approach to his art show’s his passion and love for his surroundings. Before ever putting brush to canvas he take the time to absorb the atmosphere of the place in order to learn what it is that captures his appreciation. After many plein air sketches and often hundreds of photographs he returns to his studio to construct and optimize the elements of his final piece.
Everyone is invited to the opening show on Saturday August 14th at 5pm. Appetizers will be provided.
Prior to Donald’s opening, from 3pm to 5pm, Dawn Bertsch, a representative from Chambers and Chambers Wine Merchants, will be conducting a wine tasting highlighting several of their most special vintages. The tasting is free and open to the public.
Vista Gallery is located at 7081 n Lake Blvd, in Tahoe Vista and is open Wednesday through Sunday, 10am -530pm and most weekend evenings until 8pm. The gallery can be reached at (530) 546-7794 and at www.vistagallery.com.
