The Artisan’s Market Place located in the Blue Victorian in Brickelltown has returned for an encore this summer.

This unique gallery represents works by 15 local artists and is filled to the brim with gorgeous handmade treasures, and is open daily except Tuesdays.

From the original offerings of GlasRat Art Glass by Cathy Strand to the precision hand knit creations of Rebecca Maidman’s Rivka Designs, the brilliant fused-glass of Cherie Keep, to the earthy beauty of Tom Beebe’s marquetry woodwork, the shop is teeming with excitement and one-of-a-kind gifts to delight every age.

The market place will be open daily from 11 am – 6 pm, except Tuesdays.

Featured Local Artists:

  • Rebecca Maidman, Rivka Designs
  • Beth Wilson, Isabel Mirabeau Jewelry
  • Holly Beatie, High Sierra Botanicals
  • Chrisi Donovan, Furniture Art
  • Toni Rockwell, Toni’s Treasures
  • Joanne Corso, Artist and Painter
  • Colombe Tresan, Colombe’s Silk Designs
  • Kevin Klein, Photography
  • Cathy Strand, GlasRat Art Glass
  • Cherie Keep, Fused Glass Art
  • Nichole Busse, Norho Necks Jewelry
  • Don Augstein, Indigo Wood & Metal Works
  • Jesse Martin, Pottery/Ceramics Sculpture
  • Jacob Morrison, Rustic Tree Creations
  • Tom Beebe, Artistry in Wood

The shop boasts three jewelers: Beth Wilson who designs her Isabel Mirabeau brand with intricate bead work, leather, fine gemstones and crystals; Toni Rockwell brings in her bold, shimmering, fired-glass pendants and beaded pieces; and Nichole Busse’s Norho Necks fine gemstone jewelry.

Ceramic creations are provided by Jesse Martin, and masterful silk designs by Colembe Trisan.  Chrisi Donovan’s interactive, themed furniture art treasures for children and adults transports one to that magical place of fun and imagination through chalkboards, magnets, crayons, and a mythical creature or two. And, Rustic Tree Creations and Don Augstein’s wood and metal works will showcase their furniture art with reclaimed and natural elements.

You can see and feel the passion for Tahoe-Truckee’s mountain culture and the people who live here captured in Kevin Klein’s dynamic photography and Joanne Corso’s paintings.

And the excitement keeps coming with multi-talented artist Joanne Corso’s hand painted cards, watercolors, acrylics, oils, and silks. Joanne will be in the Market Place ocassionally for sit-down, on-site portraits.

Everyone needs to be pampered and nurtured. With Holly Beatie’s High Sierra Botanicals, there’s plenty of pure, natural, Earth friendly goodies like essential oil scented soaps, face, hand and body creams and lotions, aromatherapy sprays, pet and kid safe medicinals, and more.

The Artisan’s Market Place is located in the Blue Victorian, 10382 Donner Pass Road, Brickletown, in historic Truckee. Open daily 11 am – 6 pm, except Tuesdays.

With the addition of the Artisans Market Place alongside Riverside Studios, The Feather’s Edge Finery and Drake and Lulu’s, Mitch Clarin’s vision has come true. Now, one can find original and hand made work from over 60 local artists within the group of galleries.

Thanks Mitch!
