Do you prefer leisurely “Lakeside Rambles” or a 3-day backpacking trip?

Both? You’re in luck!

“East Tahoe Trails” is a 4-color hiking guide that fits in your pocket.

Local Zephyr Cove resident, John McCall, describes 29 of his favorite hikes and walks along the east side of Lake Tahoe ranging from leisurely “Lakeside Rambles” to challenging multi-day backpacking trips.

Each hike description contains a detailed topographic route map and photos, as well as information about historical events (and artifacts) that occurred during the Comstock silver mining era. Each section of the book also contains detailed descriptions and maps of the trail heads.

McCall and his wife, Diane, have lived at Tahoe since 1999 and they helped build the Tahoe Rim Trail. A portion of the proceeds from sales of the book will go the Tahoe Rim Trail.

The book is 128 pages and $18.95. To preview the book and order your copy, click here.
