Change by Sara Zimmerman

Sara Zimmerman’s new works and art for 2009 reflect change.

In her most recent “Woman in Raw” series, Sara’s works reflect her story of becoming a mom, balancing motherhood and sanity, her love for her daughter and family, life’s struggles, moving to a new city, etc.

All works are done in multiple layers on large, unstretched canvas, mimicking the layers and rawness of life.

These pieces are very large and are hung like tapestries from clips. Since Sara recently uprooted and moved to the San Francisco Bay Area, she wanted her works to mirror this by being easy to move themselves.

While Sara is living in SF, she has kept her connections in Truckee where she will be having an upcoming show at the Dragonfly Cuisine, November 2009 – May 2010.
